Civil Air Patrol is a federally registered non-profit organization performing many services and volunteer efforts all over the United States .
The Parkersburg Composite Squadron has been serving the people of the Mid-Ohio Valley since 1944. Commanded by Major Sixto Velez, we are located at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport in Parkersburg, WV. As a composite squadron, we have both a Senior Member (18+ yrs) program and a Cadet Member (12-18 yrs) program.
We are also a flying squadron, which means that we have a corporate aircraft (Cessna 182) available to us right here at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport. We use this aircraft for both Emergency Services (Search and rescue, disaster relief, etc.) and Cadet Programs (Orientation flights for CAP cadets).Approved members can also fly the aircraft for proficiency and, with approval, for training toward advanced pilot ratings.
Seniors meet every Tuesday night from 7-9 p.m. , Cadets meet at 6:30 - 9pm each Tuesday.
