To all Parkersburg Cadets:
 
The required uniform for CAP cadets is the AF Blue uniform. Most cadets however,
also choose to obtain a proper set of BDUs for activities and meetings other than 
"Blues Night". The Blues will probably be sent to you once your application is processed,
 but that is not always the case. The uniform program depends on availability. Still,
 ALL CADETS are required to have the basic blue uniform. (We have some available at the squadron.)


The basic blue uniform includes:

AF blue pants/skirt or slacks for females 
short sleeve light blue shirt 
blue belt w/shiny buckle 
black shoes 
blue name plate w/last name
All of the above listed items should come with your uniform through the uniform program,
if available, except the black shoes and blue name plate. You are responsible for obtaining 
the items that are not sent.
 
If you choose to wear BDUs, you will need the following items:

woodland camo BDU pants and blouse 
black jungle or combat boots 
blue cloth name tape 
blue cloth Civil Air Patrol tape 
blue belt/black buckle 
reverse flag (available at squadron) 
WV Wing patch (available at squadron)
All uniforms, whether Blues or BDUs, must complete (all tapes and patches) and worn properly.
 
Accessories for the uniforms 
(name plate for blues/name tape, CAP tape, reverse flag, and WV Wing patch for BDUs) 
must be obtained and worn in order to receive promotions.

We have some uniform items available to loan out to cadets at the squadron and we try to do so as much
as possible to keep costs minimal. Occasionally however, we do not have a needed item available and the
cadet is then responsible for the cost of obtaining any required item.
